April 2022: SEAS/PSOM Workshop Series on Trustworthy AI for Medicine

Qi Long, PhD co-organized a workshop series on Trustworthy AI for Medicine in April 2022, with Rajeev Alur, PhD, and Konrad Kording, PhD from Penn's School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), and John Holmes, PhD, FACE, FACMI and Marylyn Ritchie, PhD from Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM). Following the successful initial workshop in December 2021,  three workshops were organized to focus on the following thematic areas:

  1. Patient-facing trustworthy AI: Is it a pipe-dream?
  2. Clinician-centric AI: Will clinicians ever trust AI recommendations?
  3. Perpetuation of health disparities through biased AI: challenges and solutions

This workshop series brought together thought leaders from PSOM and SEAS who share a broad vision about AI for medicine at Penn to catalyze research collaboration and partnership between SEAS and PSOM in this space.
