Education: 

Ph.D. in Genetics, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences Visiting Ph.D. Student in Statistical Genetics, Center for Statistical Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine B.S in Biological Science, East China University of Science and Technology

Research Focus: 

Specialized in genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics, Dr. Kan's research focuses on identifying genetic and environmental factors that contribute to complex human diseases, via applying computational methods on multi-omics data. She also develops informatics tools and pipelines to facilitate reproducible analysis of omics data.
