Yong Chen and Pamela Shaw Named ASA Fellows

Yong Chen, PhD, and Pamela Shaw, PhD, both Associate Professors of Biostatistics, have been named Fellows of the American Statistical Association (ASA), the field’s largest and most prestigious professional organization in the United States. The designation of ASA Fellow has been a significant honor for nearly 100 years.

Those selected have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of statistical science, per an evaluation by The Committee on Fellows. Under ASA bylaws, the Committee can elect only one-third of one percent of the total association membership as Fellows each year.
