Kevin Johnson, MD, MS, FAAP, FAMIA, FACMI, has been named as Penn's 27th Penn Integrates Knowledge (PIK) University Professor. A pioneer of medical information technologies to improve patient safety, Dr. Johnson will hold joint appointments in the DBEI and the Department of Computer and Information Science in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Alisa Stephens-Shields, PhD, has been selected as an inaugural member of the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) Leadership Academy! Membership in the Academy is one of the highest honors given to early-career statistical scientists.
