Matthew Ziegler, MD, MSCE

Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology

Dr. Ziegler is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases with a secondary appointment in the Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics Epidemiology and Informatics (DBEI) and is a Senior Scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB). He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and has received specialized clinical and research training in oncology infectious diseases and healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention. His clinical research program focuses on the prevention of healthcare-associated infections in immunocompromised patients and the molecular epidemiology of multidrug-resistant organisms within the hospital built environment.
